Cocobolo Cocobolo is a true rosewood that grows along the Pacific seaboard. A deep brown-red color when finished, it produces a powerful bass response. Many avoid this in building as it is difficult to work with, but well worth the effort. Cocobolo makes a beautiful looking guitar with an excellent sound.
